Zen & The Art of The Mixtape
Sn 2 Ep 2
In this episode we delve into the art of the mixtape and it’s cultural place in our lives. Co-host Courtney may have gone a little overboard with, “the mixtape were musical vignettes to tell the stories of our lives”, but okay Court! We’re rolling with it.
As for the rest of us, Eve, Lori and Chris saw the mixtape as a magical way to express our musical stylings back in the day, whether we were making the tape for ourselves or for that special someone (even if Eve didn’t listen to Funky Cold Medina as a kid and Lori didn’t order her songs). Take a journey with us as we remember the art, memories, and dare we say, replacement of the mixtape now (hint: it’s not what you think).
OH! And we made a collborative GenX Stories mixtape on Spotify just for you (following Chris’s “rules”.) You KNOW you want to listen.
